Gyumri: Second-largest city in Armenia and capital of Shirak Province in the northwestern part of the country
Gyumri (Armenian:Գյումրի) is the capital and largest city of the Shirak province in northwest Armenia.
It is located about 75 miles from the capital Yerevan, and, with a population of 150,917 (2001 census), is the second-largest city in Armenia.
