Freddy Thielemans: Belgian politician (1944-2022)
Freddy Thielemans (11 September 1944 – 29 January 2022) was a Belgian socialist politician.
He was the mayor of the City of Brussels from 2001 to 2013. He was mayor before, for a short time in 1994. Thielemans was born in Brussels.
Thielemans died on 29 January 2022 in Brussels from problems caused by a fall he had in 2016, aged 77.
