European Communities: International organizations governed by the same set of institutions

The European Communities (EC), were three international organizations.

These were the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC), and the European Economic Community (EEC). In 1993, the European Union was formed by the Maastricht Treaty.
