Edgar Faure (French: ; 18 August 1908 – 30 March 1988) was a French politician, essayist, historian, and memoirist.
From 1973 to 1978, he was President of the French National Assembly. He was also Prime Minister of France in 1952 and again from 1955 to 1956.
