Christina Alexandra Chrystia Freeland (born August 2, 1968 in Peace River, Alberta) is a Canadian politician of the Liberal Party of Canada.
She has been the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada since 2019.

Freeland has been a member of parliament since 2013. From 2015 to 2017 she was also minister of trade and the minister of foreign affairs from 2017 to 2019.
Previously she was a freelance journalist. She has written several non-fiction books.
