Robert Thomas Velline (April 30, 1943 – October 24, 2016), known as Bobby Vee, was an American pop singer who was a teen idol in the early 1960s.
He was born in Fargo, North Dakota. He was a hit during the 1950s and 1960s. He wrote many songs. These included "Take Good Care of My Baby" and "Devil or Angel".

Bobby Vee said in 2012 that he has Alzheimer's disease, an illness in the brain that affects older people. On October 24, 2016, Vee died from complications of early onset Alzheimer's disease in Rogers, Minnesota at age 73.
