Beelzebub: Philistine god, formerly worshipped in Ekron, later adopted in Judaism and Christianity as a demon
Beelzebub (/biːˈɛlzəbʌb, /bee-EL-zə-bub, BEEL-; Hebrew: בַּל-זְבוּב Bal-Zəvūv) was originally a Philistine deity but is now used as another term for Satan.
