The series is set in an Asia-inspired world is ruined by an ongoing war. There are certain people can "bend" one of the four classical elements—water, earth, fire, or air. Aang is the "Avatar", the only one that can bend all the elements and must bring peace to the world from the Fire Nation. After finding new friends: Katara and Sokka, Aang goes out to learn the elements while being followed by exiled Fire Nation prince Zuko. He wants his father to honor him again, which is why he is after Aang.
Filming began in Vancouver, British Columbia on November 16, 2021, and will last until May 2022.
