William Alan Hawkshaw BEM (27 March 1937 – 16 October 2021) was a British composer.

He wrote many theme tunes including Grange Hill and Countdown. He was an arranger and pianist and performed with the studio group Love De-Luxe with "Here Comes That Sound Again" in 1979.
Hawkshaw died of pneumonia at a London hospital on 16 October 2021, aged 84.
