• New WikiProject. WikiProject Philosophy has been formed, in an attempt to coordinate the efforts of philosophically-inclined contributors. All those interested are invited to visit the project page.
• Vandalism. Hukuki.net spam found on the following small wikis: als, as, ay, az, be, bn, bo, ca, co, cs, el, eo, pa, ps, pt, qu, ro, ru, sa, sh, si, simple, sk, sl, sq, sr, sw, te, tg, th, tk, tl, tr, tt, ug, uk, ur, uz, vo, xh, yi, yo, and zu (larger wikis not checked).
• Downtime. A short downtime of the server leads a large number of users to join #wikipedia, on which TreatzBSD proudly presents his first article, Star's Edge.
• Requests for Page Expansion. There is a new requests for page expansion page for stubs worth improving.
• m:Extension Syntax: Voting begins on what syntax to use for extensions such as math, music, hieroglyphs, chemistry, etc.
• Wiki talk:IRC channel cloaks: A vote on what cloaks to allow on IRC.
• Administrators: Sj and Sverdrup become administrators. Congratulations!
• Policy proposal: Three strikes you're out policy, revised policy on blocking usernames

Arbitration committee

• Arbitration Policy. The new Arbitration policy is ratified by a vote of 28 to 4, and Jimbo Wales declares his approval for implementing the policy based on that vote
• Arbitration committee vote to hear the matters of Anthony DiPierro and Wik (Wik's case is being reviewed a month after his original case)
• "Mav v. 168" appears to be too late to arbitrate given the fact 168 has left wikipedia
• "WHEELER and 172" and "Kevin baas and Dwindrim" are referred to mediation
• Angela requests arbitration on JRR Trollkien; three arbitrators vote to accept the case, none decline
