2018 Fifa World Cup Qualification – Uefa Group H

Gibraltar can no longer automatically qualify.

Gibraltar has been eliminated

It might look as though they still can get to 2nd place by winning their 4 remaining games and getting to 12 points, but at least one of Greece Bosnia Cyprus Estonia must get to 13 or more points based on the remaining matchups. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.252.72.28 (talk) 21:40, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

I have to concur - I can find no scenario in which Gibraltar gets to 12 points without another team getting to at least 13. — Jkudlick ⚓ t ⚓ c ⚓ s 15:44, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Strike that, I found only one scenario in which GIB could get to 12 points with no other team reaching 13:
    • On 31 August, GIB defeat BEL, CYP and BIH draw, and EST defeat GRE
    • On 3 September, EST and CYP draw, BEL defeat GRE, and GIB defeat BIH
    • On 7 October, GIB defeat EST, BEL defeat BIH, and CYP defeat GRE
    • On 10 October, BEL defeat CYP, EST defeat BIH, and GIB defeat GRE
This would result in BIH, CYP, GIB, and GRE all having 12 points, with EST only having 11. The tiebreakers would obviously come into play, but it is theoretically possible. — Jkudlick ⚓ t ⚓ c ⚓ s 16:10, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
