Highland English (Scots: Hieland Inglis, Scottish Gaelic: Beurla na Gaidhealtachd) is the variety of Scottish English spoken by many in Gaelic-speaking areas and the Hebrides.
It is more strongly influenced by Gaelic than are other forms of Scottish English.
