Kunan was a former diver who volunteered to assist in the Tham Luang cave rescue, an internationally publicized rescue operation in June–July 2018. After placing air tanks in the cave, he lost consciousness while swimming back. He could not be revived and was pronounced dead at 01:00, 6 July 2018. |
