Description

Maori. Habitation : les murs sont en bambou, le toit est recouvert de fibres végétales. L' homme est vêtu d' une sorte de pagne en fibres végétales ; il porte au cou un pendentif en jade et tient un massue.

Maori dwelling: the walls are of raupo, the roof is covered with plant fibres. The man is wearing a sort of cloak of plant fibre; he is wearing at the neck a greenstone pendant and holds a mere, a club.
