Summary[edit]

Description A U.S. Navy Grumman S2F-1 Tracker (BuNo 136658) from Antisubmarine Squadron VS-29 "Tromboners" in flight with its landing gear lowered. VS-29 was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 53 (CVSG-53) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge (CVS-33) from 1961 to 1963 flying the S2F-1 (after 1962: S-2A).
After its retirement from the U.S. Navy this aircraft was converted to a "Turbo Firecat" waterbomber in service in France.
