Blå kinesiserande underglasyrmålning, delvis konturerad med svart. I spegeln landskap, på brättet fält med figurer och stiliserade blommor. På brättets undersida enkel dekor i blått, cirklar och stjärnor skilda åt av streck.Märkt i blå underglasyrmålning, triangel. Delft, 1600-talets senare hälft.
Description
Svenska: Det riktiga porslinet – hårt, vitt och dyrt – kunde endast kineserna skapa av någon för européerna okänd anledning. Det kom att dröja till 1708 innan alkemisten Johann Friedrich Böttger (1682-1719) kom på att det krävdes kaolinlera för att få fram rätt resultat.Europeiska lergodstillverkare hade till dess framställt porösa bruna, röda och grå föremål. De kinesiska blåvita porslinsföremålen blev därför mycket eftertraktade. Och på grund av den långa och osäkra resvägen blev de kostsamma. Kinesiskt porslin var mångfalt dyrare än det europeiska.
