English: My own map with pictures from four Wikimedia Commons files: A Mandan village 0049v (cropped); The three Hidatsa villages in the Knife River area by Mandan Sitting Rabbit, 1907; Bulletin (1922) (20236125138); Like A Fishhook Village, Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, North Dakota.

The map shows a number of villages of the Arikara, Hidatsa, Mandan and Pawnee Indians with lodges set ablaze by the Sioux east of Missouri River and also Lakotas during the intertribal wars
