Johan Ernst Nilson är just nu mitt uppei en av sina största äventyr – The Seven Summits; Att nå den högsta punkten påvarje kontinent. Under våren 2007 kommer Mount Everest att utgöra den sjunde och sista punkten på expeditionen. Den sista etappen kommer att starta på Johans hemmaplan i Stockholm och går sedan med jeep genom Asien till Himalaya. Johans äventyr kommer att kunna följas dagligen med hjälp av film, bilder, kartor och dagbok på Johans hemsida, www.sevensummits.se Johan Ernst Nilson är idag en av Europas mest välmeriterade upptäcktsresande. Med inte mindre än 20 expeditioner bakom sig över sju kontinenter är det få som kan mäta sig med Johans mångsidighet och bredd. Kajak från Nybroviken till Afrika, cykel från Stureplan till Sahara, bestigningar och forskningsresor till länder som Antarktis, Tibet, Mongoliet, Amazonas, Grönland, Papua New Guinea, Alaska och den Magnetiska Nordpolen. Johan är en vanlig kille som gör ovanliga saker och han får oss ibland att tänka – det här kanske man kan göra själv. När nu Johan är i full färd med sitt senaste projekt, ”The Seven Summits” kan han dessutom, i hård konkurrens, kanske bli förste svenskatt bestiga de högsta topparna på jordens sju kontinenter. Det som gör Johan unik som äventyrare är att han utnyttjar avancerad teknologi under extrema förhållanden. Idag är Johan anlitad av företag världen över som vill testa sina produkter under extraordinära förhållanden. Under expeditionen kommer svensk spjutspetsteknologi att prövas och flera tester inom medicin och software att genomföras. Expeditionen kommer att använda Anoto Extreme Functionality (digital penna och papper för att lagra grafik och text under extrema förhållanden). All kommunikation sker trådlöst för optimal mobilitet med bland annat Bluetooth. Exempel på annan teknologi som ska användas är videoredigering samt mätningar inom kyla, vind, puls, andning och höjd. Genom åren har Johan blivit en efterfrågad fotograf och filmproducent hos företag som Discovery Channel och National Geographic. Under nästa höst kommer Johan dessutom att ge ut den ultimata äventyrsboken – living the dream, baserad på tjugo stora expeditioner under fjorton år i bortemot etthundra länder på sju kontinenter.
