Psikologjia humaniste është një perspektivë (drejtim) i psikologjisë që u paraqit në mesin e shekullit XX, si një lloj reaksioni ndaj teorisë psikanalitike të Sigmund Freudit dhe biheviorizmit të B.
F. Skinnerit. Rrënjët e këtij drejtimi vërehen qysh në pikëpamjet e Sokratit ndërsa zhvillimit të këtij drejtimi një kontribut të konsiderueshëm i ka dhënë edhe periudha e Rilindjes.
Ky drejtim psikologjik përpiqet të ndihmojë klientin që të krijojë besimin se të gjithë njerëzit në thelb janë të mirë. Ajo sugjeron një qasje holistike ndaj ekzistencës njerëzore dhe i kushton vëmendje të veçantë fenomeneve të tilla si kreativiteti, vullneti i lirë dhe potenciali pozitiv njerëzor. Psikologjia humaniste na inkurajon që ne të shikojmë veten si një "personalitet i plotë (tërësi)" gjë që është më e madhe se sa shuma e pjesëve tona. Ky drejtim i kushton vëmendje edhe vetë eksplorimit më shumë se sa studimit të sjelljes në njerëz të tjerë. Psikologjia humaniste është e lidhur me fushën e psikologjisë transpersonale.
Në një artikull nga Shoqata për Psikologji Humaniste, përfitimet e terapisë humaniste janë përshkruar si një "mundësi vendimtare për të udhëhequr kulturën tonë të trazuar në rrugën e saj të shëndetshme.
