Zamfara State: A northern state in Nigeria
Zamfara is one of the 36 states of Nigeria.
It is in the northwest of the country. Its capital is Gusau.
Zamfara is badly affected by the Nigerian bandit conflict. That includes a mass kidnapping in Jangebe in February 2021, a massacre in Zurmi in June 2021 and a series of massacres in January 2022.
