Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu, (born 1 July 1949) is an Indian politician.
He was the 13th Vice President of India from 11 August 2017 to 11 August 2022. On 5 August 2017, Naidu was elected Vice President of India with 67.89% of the votes.

Naidu served as the Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Urban Development and Information and Broadcasting in the Narendra Modi cabinet. A well known leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has also served as its national president from 2002 to 2004. Earlier, he was the Union Cabinet Minister for Rural Development in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
