Upper Saxon (German: Obersächsisch, pronounced ; Upper Saxon: ) is an dialect spoken in Saxony, southeastern Saxony-Anhalt, and eastern Thuringia.
Though called "Saxon", it is not to be confused with Low Saxon. Upper Saxon is linked to the Thuringian dialect.
