Thimphu: Capital of Bhutan

Thimphu (ཐིམ་ཕུ་) is the capital city of Bhutan.

It is the name of the surrounding valley and dzongkhag, the Thimphu District. It has a population of 50,000 (2003), it is the largest population center in the country. Thimphu is located at 27°28′00″N, 89°38′30″E.
