Thelma Alice Todd (July 29, 1906 – December 16, 1935) was an American actress and businesswoman.
She was known as "The Ice Cream Blonde", also "Hot Toddy". Todd was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Todd was in 120 feature movies and shorts between 1926 and 1935. She is best remembered for her comedic roles in movies such as Marx Brothers' Monkey Business and Horse Feathers. She co-starred with Buster Keaton and Jimmy Durante in Speak Easily. She also had roles in many Wheeler and Woolsey and Laurel and Hardy movies.
Todd was found dead on December 16, 1935 in her car at her Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles garage. She was 29 years old. Her death was caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, however it is unknown if she was murdered or if it was a suicide.
