The Actress is a 1953 American comedy-drama movie directed by George Cukor and was based on the play Years Ago by Ruth Gordon.

It stars Spencer Tracy, Jean Simmons, Teresa Wright, Anthony Perkins. It was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1954.
