Sultanate Of Zanzibar: 1856-1964 monarchy in the Indian Ocean

The Sultanate of Zanzibar was an Ibadite kingdom in East Africa.

It was under the influence of the Omani Muscat Sultanate at first. It came to an end when the British East Africa colony was established. This means it ended at the turn of the twentieth century.
