Iceland Southern Peninsula: Region in Iceland

The Southern Peninsula (Icelandic: Suðurnes) is a region in the southwest of the Iceland.

The region is located on the Reykjanes Peninsula (Icelandic: Reykjanesskagi). The population of the region was 27,829 (2020). The capital in the region is Keflavík, with a population of 15,930 (2018). Keflavík International Airport, which is the largest and busiest airport in Iceland, is located in the region.
