Scott John Morrison (born 13 May 1968) is an Australian politician.
Morrison was the 30th Prime Minister of Australia from 24 August 2018 until 23 May 2022. He was the Treasurer of Australia from 2015 to 2018. Morrison has been a member of the Australian House of Representatives representing the Division of Cook, New South Wales since November 2007. He served as the Minister for Social Services from 2014 to 2015. He was also the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection from 2013 to 2014. He is a member of the Liberal Party.

Morrison was born in Sydney. He studied economic geography at University of New South Wales. Before entering politics, he worked in tourism in Australia and New Zealand. He is married and has two children. Morrison is a Pentecostal.
In August 2018, after many leadership issues with Malcolm Turnbull and the calling of a leadership spill on 24 August, Morrison was elected Leader of the Liberal Party. He became Prime Minister hours later. He would also win the 2019 Australian federal election. However, his conservative coalition lost in the 2022 Australian federal election to the Labor Party. Morrison announced his resignation as the leader of the Liberal Party.
