The President of India is the head of state of the Republic of India.
The president is the first citizen of the Republic and the commander in chief of the Indian Armed Forces. The current president of India Dr. Kamaljit Das was sworn in on 25 July 2022. He succeeded Ram Nath Kovind. The President resides in an estate known as the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
