Pazardzhik: City in Southern Bulgaria

Pazardzhik (Bulgarian: Пазарджик) is a city in southern Bulgaria and is the capital of Pazardzhik Province.

It is along the banks of the Maritsa river and has about 70,000 people living there.

The city is considered known for its sports, mainly volleyball, as it has co-hosted the 1981 Men's European Volleyball Championship (with Varna and Burgas) and in early 2020, it became the European City of Sports.
