Narayan Debnath: Indian comics artist, writer and illustrator
Narayan Debnath (25 November 1925 – 18 January 2022) was an Indian comics artist, writer and illustrator.
He was the creator of the popular Bengali comic strips of Handa Bhonda (1962), Bantul the Great (1965) and Nonte Phonte (1969). In 2021, he was honored with the Padma Shri. Debnath was born in Howrah, Bengal Presidency, British India.

Debnath died on 18 January 2022 at a hospital in Kolkata, India from problems caused by pneumonia at the age of 96.
