Minerva: Roman goddess of wisdom and sponsor of arts, trade, and defense

Minerva was the Roman goddess of crafts and wisdom whose symbol was the owl.

The Greeks called her Athena but the Romans didn't make her as warlike as Athena. As Minerva Medica she was goddess of medicine and doctors. Many coins showed her.
