Marilynn Smith: Professional golfer

Marilynn Smith (April 13, 1929 – April 9, 2019) was an American professional golfer.

She was one of the 13 founders of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) in 1950. She won two major championships and 21 LPGA Tour events in all. Her major wins were the Titleholders Championship in 1963 and 1964. She was a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. She was born in Topeka, Kansas.

Smith died on April 9, 2019, at the age of 89 in Goodyear, Arizona. She was four days short of her 90th birthday.
