Lizabeth Scott: American actress and singer (1921–2015)

Lizabeth Virginia Scott (September 29, 1922 – January 31, 2015) was an American actress and singer.

Scott specialised in film noir roles of the 1940s and early 1950s. She was known for her roles in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946) with Barbara Stanwyck, Dead Reckoning (1947) with Humphrey Bogart, Desert Fury (1948) with John Hodiak, and Too Late for Tears (1949) with Don DeFore. Scott was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Of her 22 feature films, she was leading lady in all but one. In addition to stage and radio, she appeared on television from the late 1940s to early 1970s.

Scott died of congestive heart failure at the age of 92 on January 31, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
