Gerald Jerry Sheindlin (born November 19, 1933) is an American author and television personality.
He was a short-lived judge on the television program The People's Court from 1999 to 2000.

Before that, he served on the New York State Supreme Court. He is the author of two books, Genetic Fingerprinting: The Law and Science of DNA Evidence and Blood Trail.
