James Rado: American actor, playwright, director, writer and composer

James Alexander Radomski (January 23, 1932 – June 21, 2022), known professionally as James Rado, was an American actor, playwright, director, and composer.

He was born in Los Angeles, California. He was best known as the co-author of the 1967 musical Hair. He was nominated for a Tony Award in 1969 and won a Grammy Award that same year.

Rado died of cardiopulmonary arrest on June 21, 2022 at a hospital in New York City at the age of 90.
