Giuseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa: Sicilian writer and prince (1896-1957)

Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa (Palermo, 23 December 1896 – Rome, 23 July 1957) was an Italian writer.

He is most famous for his only historical novel, The Leopard (Il Gattopardo), which is set in Sicily during the Risorgimento.
