Fencer Egon Franke: Polish fencer (1935–2022)

Egon Johann Franke (23 October 1935 – 30 March 2022) was a Polish fencer.

He won a gold medal in the individual foil at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He also won a team silver medal in 1964 and a bronze medal in 1968. He was born in Gleiwitz, Silesia, Prussia, Germany.

Franke died on 30 March 2022 in Torino, Italy at the age of 86.
