Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) (also known as cilantro, Chinese parsley, or dhania) is a herb from the Apiaceae family.

Coriander is originally from the southwestern Asia across to north Africa.

In the Sri Lankan Sinhalese language, it is called koththamuhlli. It is believed to have medicinal qualities, and is brewed and drunk to cure the common cold and fever.
