Christian Apologetics: Branch of Christian theology that defends Christianity against objections

Christian apologetics is a field of Christian theology that tries to find a rational basis for the Christian faith.

There have been many people who tried to do this, including Paul of Tarsus, Origen, Augustine of Hippo and C. S. Lewis. Apologists base their arguments on historical evidence and philosophy, amongst others.
