CODA is a 2021 coming-of-age comedy-drama movie written and directed by Sian Heder.
The movie stars Emilia Jones as a "CODA", or "child of deaf adult". She is the only hearing member of a deaf family. Eugenio Derbez, Troy Kotsur, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Daniel Durant, and Marlee Matlin appear in supporting roles. It won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2022. Troy Kotsur became the first deaf man to win an Academy Award for acting.
