Australian Film Institute Awards: Award

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, known as the AACTA Awards, formerly known as Australian Film Institute Awards are the main national movie awards in Australia.

It is presented annually by the Australian Film Institute. The awards recognize excellence of professionals in the movie industry and television industry, including directors, actors and writers. It is the most prestigious awards ceremony for the Australian movie and television industry.
