Anton Chigurh: Fictional hitman

Anton Chigurh is a fictional character from the 2005 novel No Country for Old Men by American writer Cormac McCarthy and the 2007 movie of the same name directed by the Coen brothers.

He is a psychopathic professional hitman of unknown nationality. He serves as the main antagonist of No Country for Old Men.

In the movie, Chigurh is played by Spanish actor Javier Bardem. For this role, Bardem won many awards, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA.

Empire.com ranked Chigurh #46 in their list of the 100 Greatest Movie Characters of All Time.
