André Leon Talley: American journalist (1948-2022)
André Leon Talley (October 16, 1948 – January 18, 2022) was an American fashion journalist.
He was the creative director and American editor-at-large of Vogue magazine. He was the magazine's fashion news director from 1983 to 1987 and then its creative director from 1988 to 1995. He was openly gay.

In 2007, Talley was ranked 45th in Out magazine's "50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America".
Talley died at a hospital in White Plains, New York from a heart attack caused by COVID-19 on January 18, 2022, at the age of 73.
