Amazon Standard Identification Number: 10-character alphanumeric unique identifier
The Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) is number used by Amazon.com to identify books.
When there is a ten-digit ISBN code, the ASIN is usually the same number. The ASIN can be useful to use when a book is old and has no ISBN code.
