Ahmad Alasgarov: Azerbaijani footballer (1935-2015)

Ahmad Latifovich Alasgarov (Azerbaijani: Əhməd Lətif oğlu Ələsgərov, Russian: Ахмед Лятифович Алескеров; born 5 October 1935 – 19 May 2015) was an Azerbaijani footballer and manager.

He played as a defender from 1955 until 1965. He managed nine teams between 1966 and 2006, including the Azerbaijan national football team. He was born in Baku.

Alasgarov died after a long illness on 19 May 2015 in Odesa, Ukraine, aged 79.
