Per Aspera Ad Astra: Popular aspirational Latin phrase

Per aspera ad astra (or the alternative Ad astra per aspera) is a Latin phrase that means through suffering to the stars.

The phrase is one of the many Latin phrases that use the expression ad astra, meaning "to the stars".
