Waukesha police officers took the car and arrested a person. At least one officer fired their gun in an attempt to stop the SUV.
On October 26, 2022, Darrell Brooks, the driver of the SUV, was found guilty of all 76 charges against him. He was sentenced to six life sentences without parole.
