Mannose is a succar monomer o the aldohexose series o carbohydrates.

Mannose is a C-2 epimer o glucose. Mannose is important in human metabolism, especially in the glycosylation o certain proteins. Several congenital disorders o glycosylation are associated wi mutations in enzymes involved in mannose metabolism.
