Artist's seal:

    Zhuping

Inscription by Wang Wenzhi:

It seems that continued devotion to the Emperor is no longer required.
I dream of clouds and water in an idyllic life.
Laozi and Feizi cannot be reconciled.
The Qi people were always lauded by the Qu people.
I have not washed my hat since sharing the fisherman's life.
I hate to dress to call on the Duyou.
This year I am going to change
And become as free and unrestrained as a gull.
Dated the seventh day of the first month, 1298. Zhao Mengfu.
